Day 2 of the two week challenge.

Disclaimer:
Remember, I am not going back over this to reword stuff, so it might not sound the best, but I  am doing this to be bold and building my confidence.

What a great way to start off this day 2 of the Movement Marketing Summit.

Starting with a very relaxing meditation with Tonya Spivey helped to focus my thoughts for a productive day. She teaches the benefits of slowing down to rejuvenate your mind and reduce stress. Everyone could be blessed by seeing the link between your energy and achieving all your goals. The intention is directly correlated with the energy put toward those goals.

Next was Raul Villacis - a visionary! His platform is sharing the EDGE with Entrepreneurs and business people. He was so inspiring as he explained the acronym of Energy, Determination and Direction, Guidance, and Execution that his claim to being addicted to results was obvious. One take away for me was "If you are building a kingdom, the King or Queen eats first". That's the way to be there for everyone else in the castle.  I felt blessed to be listening to the presentation.

The final interview today was Darren Casey. Fantastic positive encouragement for our own self image and need to take care of ourselves. "get lean make green" Take aways for me, #1 Morning Routine (including lemon water, 20 min workout, nutrition) #2 Timeouts - 10 minutes of silence. Connect with nature and relationships. This has a direct correlation to success. Pay for taking care of yourself now, or pay the hospitals and doctors later. Look at your lifestyle - right now.

Great content today in this Summit. Andy summed up the day with the advise to take care of your body and mind now so that you will have energy so you will be able to better take care of your business, relationships, and your life.

Challenge by Valerie Groth

I currently am studying in the Movement Marketing Summit. FANTASTIC first day. I now am going take Valerie Groth's challenge;

If you are as low in self-confidence as I am, and have fears... DO SOMETHING SCARY OR BOLD EVERY DAY for two weeks.

Well, here it is....I am going to write on my blog everyday. No 'pre-writing' stuff in a Microsoft word to make sure it sounds right first. I am just going to open up and share. Valerie is a life coach and inspiration. Thank you to Aj Amyx and Andy Zitzmann for hosting this Summit.

The speakers today were really good. It started with Wendy Lipton-Dibner, MA who set things up beautifully in a call to Focus on the Impact that we make (not the money that we can make) First.

Then Christopher John Stubbs discussed uncovering our purpose. He stated that our greatest mess becomes our greatest message as we use our experiences to share.

Aaron Walker shared many valuable insights, values that I cherish as a Christian woman, in our daily lives. He is a life coach that helps people to live productive lives. One of his quotes that hit home with me is "It doesn't help to know (whatever) if you don't take action (on that knowledge)"

And then came Valerie Groth with the great steps to overcoming fears and being bold every day. It was delightful to listen to her message. I will wish the good on people as she suggested in a morning routine. (I think she used a Buddhism term for it) And I will "Get out of my comfort zone & do something scary daily" (I just hope I remember to be safe too) :-) GBYD- God bless your day.

FAITH

FAITH (part 1)

Day Apart:

I remember giving my son up on the Alter. Not really laying his body there, but when he was not yet born.

I had gone to a women’s time to worship God, called "Day Apart". When the speaker offered prayer, I felt compelled to raise my hand boldly. She came to pray with me, after everyone was off doing another activity.

We talked about my unborn child and the connection I felt my baby had with our God. I can’t explain the feeling, perhaps Faith would be the word.
                                         ********
Years later, God confirmed to me that He had my, now 26 year old, son in His plan. I can’t explain how I know, yet I believe Faith is the word.

Karen Griffard Putz

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN ~ MY FRIEND Karen Griffard Putz

Like a lot in life, we often see the end results of success instead of the struggle.
When Ren Putz and I came across this piece of rock, I wanted to do a handstand on it.
The first several tries resulted in a bunch of pictures with one foot or nothing. A couple of things were happening:
The rock sloped downhill. I was afraid I would fall forward or backward into more jagged rock.
I had just started doing handstands a few months ago-- more than 30 years after I did my last one. I didn't trust my ability to do it.
So Ren suggested trying the handstands uphill instead.
It worked. After a few practices, I had the confidence to try it downhill and that's the picture you see here.
So in life, if at first you come up to a challenge, change the way you approach it. Try something different. Practice. Gain the skill. Above all, persist.

Knocking on Mammow's Door

Knocking on Mammow’s Door

On our first date, the man that I married went to the wrong door of our house. This door was in fact the door to my grandmother’s living quarters. My father had an apartment built on the side of our existing house; it was the plan he had talked about with my grandfather, “Granddad’s” death bed. My grandmother, Mammow, then moved to our house a year after her husband’s funeral. She passed away when she was 95.
Her daughter, my mother, passed away at 84. I am still processing that loss, as it has only been four months. I pray that she was escorted to the correct door.

Is heaven a spot with many doors and are we going to know the right door to go to?

In John 14:2, Jesus said “In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”

There are several other places in the bible that mention heaven, a heavenly mansion, or a place with many rooms. Is it described as such for our own level of understanding? Something that we are familiar with would be an explanation.

How many times do we hear someone explaining something to a child using words that they would be able to comprehend? Are we then, on that level?

The greatest scholars and intelligent human beings are still not able to understand all the concepts presented in God’s design.
In Matthew 18:4, Jesus said, “The greatest person in the kingdom of heaven is the one who makes himself humble like this child.”

Remember that I commanded you to be strong and brave. Don’t be afraid, because the Lord your God will be with you everywhere you go.”
