Remember, I am not going back over this to reword stuff, so it might not sound the best, but I am doing this to be bold and building my confidence.
Today was very inspiring. Just to be honest with you, I didn't know what a business Avatar meant. After the first guest spoke, an avatar is just what I have been needing. The first speaker I heard today was Amber Vilhauer. She is a remarkable coach and web designer. Identifying your target audience/market with the No Guts No Glory strategy that she suggests is a bold and productive move. We have this Avatar person, that we picture in our minds, who we gear our business for. (Others will join) A few quotes that stuck with me include the idea that "We" always get in our own way - get someone else to guide you through finding your target. (A coach) And remember, Nothing about this has to be perfect. Just start! Andy gave a quote "You don't have to be great to get started, but you gotta get started to be great."
Next there was Canon Wing with the Secret power of Naming. She turned my world upside down. She grabbed the very thing that I have been wanting in the psychology of a name. How very perfect for her to "Name it to claim it" philosophy that can be a bulls-eye in achieving our goal. It's how we name ourselves that can define our identity.
Then Mike L.Murphy showed us how we could make customers love us forever. He showed how business is like dating. Be creative and help people out. Being seen is being our 'billboard'.We need a visual billboard in storytelling.
Last was Jill A. Boudreau who talked about building a personal brand. She made it seem so real for us. You don't have to do the best - just do it. What brings you engagement? Just do more of it. Consistency. Get a logo and a website, personalize your site. Have a tag line - measure your success and engagement. Learn to grow.
