Remember, I am not going back over this to reword stuff, so it might not sound the best, but I am doing this to be bold and building my confidence.
Today you will learn 2 different ways to build an audience quickly and 2 different strategies for continuing to add value to them once you have them.
The first speaker today was Patty Farmer. She is a speaker, author, strategist, and clearly so much more. She seemed like a visionary to me. When they first moved to a new home, she knew no-one, yet she set a number that she would have as contacts in a year (she did it in 9 months) and a $ plan to match. Patty encouraged us to get the emails as soon as you could and put that into action. i.e. list segmentation. - ask what they want to hear about and only send them that content. By doing that, you have trust, word of mouth referrals, and people will stay on your lists. You have given them what is relevant or of value to them. She mentioned that we are in a business and world that needs to be PtoP (Person to person) and not BtoB (Business to business) or BtoC (Business to Consumer).
Patty said the #1 way to build a list is to Partnership with others.Serve first. In featuring them on your blog, giving them Exclusive content for sticking with you, having strategic partners that serve the same people in a different way, and building relationships we can grow. The only difference between contact and contract is the r=Relationships.
AJ added the image of your focus being an inch wide and a mile deep making it easier to talk to someone about that topic.

Next we heard Ronnie Nijmeh who spoke about the venus flytrap approach. Fantastic! As a writer I love the method that he teaches based on 'the story'. He gave a plan to realize the video sharing. Andy started the interview by saying "Sticky Content". I hate sticky messes that require cleaning, so it almost made me feel like this was going to be a negative talk. (I promise I will get more up on the lingo of marketing) But after I realized that this was going to be a way to get others to like me, it made sense.
Ronnie talked about a sequence of video clips on pieces of content that sucks people in. They watch, there are cliffhangers, they want more, they start liking you, and you build rapport. No hard selling on the videos!
The myths 1) has to be big,flashy, or perfect - Reality is It doesn't. 2) content new every time. - Reality is you can repurpose from past or common stories.
Don't start off with the sale, work your way toward it. Use videos, it builds the trust when they see you. Tell your story, it will engage people and you will be real. Video testimonials, what is visual will stick. After you filled their head with you - go to the next step of sales.
- Give the story - show or tell of the struggle - use vocabulary like "unexpected" "unusual" - haven't overcome the struggle ... yet.
- Discovery - how it made you feel - emotions
- Damaging admission
- Solution - transition into it
- CTA - call to action - ONE on the page

Third today was Navid Moazzez. He is a brilliant man who gives advise on Summits and podcasts. He shared with us a way to avoid mistakes. He helped me see that maybe even I could have a summit or an outreach like that.
He said to just copy what works, then re-tweak it for your style. Massive action. Navid suggests that doing a summit will give you anything. Practice. On family or close friends, which leads me to believe my gift of not being shy will help. Anyone who knows me will agree that I will have no trouble practicing. (as a matter of fact, give me a call-hehe)
Navid has been a tremendous help in seeing the need to proceed and reach out. Andy said to grow your list and authority have others post and share. It is a goal to give everyone exposure too. The adage 'you tell two friends and they tell two friends and they tell....' is really a way to gain authority and recognition.
Have courage, enthusiasm wins, Don't over-complicate things - Plan, Plan, Plan.
Navid took a time of tragedy with his brother passing away to let him be a story of inspiration to entrepreneurs everywhere.
Approach prospective speaker, tell them what you are doing, give line up, - write blog posts emails with proof of concept - leads to audience - leads to Summit......

The last speakers today were business partners Chris Cerrone and Laci Urcioli. They shared how to build an audience through Podcasting. They both were very real. Laci said "Just show up and be yourself" Be 100% you. They both help to give to others and that's what you need to do. Give to get.
You need to ask, what is success to you and what are your goals? Just get a Microphone and Do the work. When you ask someone to be interviewed on your podcast, it makes them feel good to be asked - makes you feel good to have them agree.
No matter what you are doing there is someone out there that could use your help, they tell someone else, it 'snowballs'. People really appreciate your help.
- Audio is first in importance
- Make sure your content is authentic
- Think of your brand - look and feel is 'you'.
- Let other's help behind the scene - people like that.
