Day 5 Movement Marketing Summit 2015 #MMS15

Disclaimer:
Remember, I am not going back over this to reword stuff, so it might not sound the best, but I  am doing this to be bold and building my confidence.

The Summit today started with Anthony Tran. He is a genuine guy that comes from a simple life. He let us know great ways to create solid websites and home pages that can be beneficial to your business. Anthony gave the needed five things to focus on clearly and completely. To start with, you need to answer:
  • what - clearly identify what you do
  • who - Identify your target audience
  • why - Show your qualifications, credibility, to build trust
  • wow - Make a great first impression. High quality photos and colors &/or videos
  • where - Provide a clear call to action, big get started button, show me the formula.
Anthony took the time to show us examples of the "What Not to Do" websites compared with the "Affirming & Good" websites. (I really liked the psychology of the pictures. Looking off to the side with a confident smile, others want to look there too.) Build an email list. One page website that clearly explains what you are all about with an obvious opt in click button.
Thanks so much Anthony Tran.

The next guest was a fantastic conversion educator for Lead Pages and Marketer, Tim Paige. This exceptional man shared so much about the basics of what you need to have   get to have on your website. He shared what a funnel was (no Andy, not a cake) and the whole system that it includes. "By having people get a download of the tools they need, you have already weeded out the buyers. Those tools may cost $ to solve their issue so they are Potential buyers. Be sure to be clear and simple with what could be their answer. Keep the focus on your reader's needs and not advertising yourself. Tim explained three kinds of landing pages. First, a lead magnet does not have to be something that takes a lot of time or expense. The more simple and clean the offer = the most conversions. Be specific to target the exact audience will give you authenticity and trust.                                        The Thank you page should not lead people away from your website to check their email, instead use this opportunity to have them share with their friends. They are pumped up about the offer they just chose, let them tell like minded people they know. They will check their e-mail later, so will the friend. Always Remember -- do it for them and not WIIFM (what's in it for me). Tim is convinced that Webinars are the way to share content in this digital world, they are not dead as some say. 3 keys to an opt in lead are 1) Count down timer (gives a sense of urgency) 2) Motion - have action on your call to action button. 3) Have a comment box at the end (it will show up on their FB page and others will look into it)
The #1 skill needed is copywriting - get someone to take action by using the right words.
Thanks Tim Paige, for the abundance of knowledge.

The next speaker was Jeremy Reeves. He is an expert in writing emails and using the psychology in knowing what to approach people with. One thing he shared with us is sort of what I am doing with writing these blog posts and not going over to critique each post. The best thing about this presenter was sharing authenticity and realism. When you have a client, you write emails, they feel they know you by what you have said and how you have said it. This, to me, is an exact way to approach people in life or business. Takeaways 1) Don't have to be perfect - just be yourself. 2) Suck stories out of your life to be honest and ethical to bond with your audience. 3) In building rapport with people and getting email addresses you need to be #1 Trustworthy. The three kinds of lists are first to have them on your list, getting s sequence of emails. If that doesn't produce sales, ask to put them on a different list asking 'How else can I help you or with what?" - Still Nothing?- re-engage them. Two things you must have Bonding and Proof. Trust and Proof.
Andy said the perfect idea in "Get out of your head and into your heart".
Thank you for sharing Jeremy Reeves.

The final speaker today was Jan Koch. He is a German man that is a gifted website designer. He handles a number of companies around the world. His focus was on the security and safety of ones website. He gave great advise in our efforts to stay aware of our security. #1 thing to remember is that we are not too small to get hacked. The hackers are not done by humans, but by a prowling sneaky computer that gets into ANY website. Takeaway - you will get hacked - yes - you will get hacked. Back ups - so easy and SO Necessary!
Three don'ts:
  • Don't neglect making backups
  • Don't neglect doing updates when available.
  • Don't use a small password
Three do's
  • Back up regularly w/ autopilot
  • Install updates
  • Use a long password not in the dictionary..
Thanks Jan Koch
