Day 4 Movement Marketing Summit

Disclaimer:
Remember, I am not going back over this to reword stuff, so it might not sound the best, but I  am doing this to be bold and building my confidence.

Phase 2 - How do I structure my format

First was Matthew Kimberley, who just happens to be a brilliant leader. He shared with us the process of coaching - marketing - and authority in his presentation. You need to make it your own by organizing existing information, that's already out there, and giving it a smart name. This is a confidence builder you can start with a big idea and break it down. One need to say very clearly what you do, what you plan to do for others, and  share life experiences joined with research on the topic. There is going to be a coast, make sure it's proportional to the outcome - results are the key. Such an interesting man to listen to. He summed it up with defining steps like

  •   Understand who your target market is
  • Give a promise - tangible - measurable
  • Give clear process
  • Walk clients through
  • Duplicate yourself
  • Re-organize - Name it - Brand it
  • ???
  • Profit

Thanks Matthew Kimberley

Then was the giant in the marketing and finding your hook. Sean McCool took us into the process of advertising and reaching your target audience/market. He could sell anything with the right words. The takeaway from today, for me, was the reality that clarity always trumps any add that is cute, cleaver, or catchy. We have a scale of awareness to reach out and sell to and our motive should not be a one size fits all mentality. In business and in life, we can reach out to others at the level along the scale where they are right at that time.  In looking at the way to sell a pencil, for example, we can state the feature (yellow) the benefit (easy to see on the desk) and the 'so what' (saves time in writing thoughts). I loved the way he suggested that we go to the absurd level as an exercise. I thought of the book "If you give a Mouse a Cookie"
Sean supplied a worksheet to go over the topics (a much needed learning tool for some). I will use the knowledge in my life. A benefit for everyone. Thanks to Sean McCool.

Leadership in the Trenches was the topic of our next speaker, Gene Hammett. The idea to start with a small workshop for a big Impact. (Anyone who knows me, they could see an area that I have a stake in, *Praise and Coffee.) Gene's ideas that the amount of work and money involved with a huge event is in contrast to the small group. We can think of our perfect 6 people for clients in the room. Gene talked about what is your profitable niche'. He helps the experienced business leaders to grow their sales and product. "What is your need? We will gather to discuss this." Everyone feeds off of each other. One thing I got was When you make the offer, once one person takes the opportunity, the other one that was 'sitting on the fence' will jump too. "You are responsible for giving the offer to help their situation, if you don't, you are being selfish." How can I help someone?  Thank you Gene Hammett.

*(Praise and Coffee, a small group coming together at a home or coffee shop Connecting women to encourage each other and inspiring them to draw closer to God!)

Our last speaker for today was an experienced business man, who has been in the corporate world since his early 20s. Andy says he felt like he was being called and lead to leave the corporate world. He also said he needed to pick up clients - NOW. The most important thing that we are asked to remember is "Sales is not sleazy ~ Not selling is being selfish". Two things to follow is 1) Mindset & 2) Consistency. I love that AJ put it this way; "Make it all about other people. Intent - serve others."
Andy actually explains things down to the numbers and processes completely. Tremendous!! I can see the advantage to knowing your numbers and create your list. Simple. People you know, are they in your target? People that know people in target. Aha, referrals. Networks and Communities. Contact people - by voice and email. Conversation, Build rapport. Let them know you know what they are saying. Pregame plan, & Commit. Outreach!
Thanks Andy Zitzmann for the details and for giving of yourself.
